CITIC Changping Golf Club, located in the southeast of Changping County, is a 27-hole, par 72, 7,150 yard golf course, with the total area of around 2,200,000 square meters. It was designed by the chief golf course designer Mr. Peter Thomson, from the famous Australian golf course design company---TWP. With the clubhouse, pro-shop, hotel, restaurant and entertainment facilities in the club, it will take you 36 minutes' driving from the center of Shenzhen and 60 minutes' from Guangzhou. You may also take the direct train from HK to Dongguan station, then take a cab around 15 minutes. CITIC Changping Golf Club opened in 2005 and has a very good chance to be a top club within China. It is designed and built to harmonize with the natural mountainous surroundings.
In line with the subject of nature and harmony,the club retains the original terrain.More than10 artificial lakes have included into water series according to their own locations.On the other hand,undulating fairways create extreme challenge.In term of general view,this course is surrounded on three sides by mountains and very quiet and majestic. Despite those features,Coures A,B and C are covered by different vegetations,mainly with fragrant camphor trees,chinese fanpallms and cajuput trees respectively,embodying rich Lingnan humanities landscape. You will consider this course as a valley course. Designer spent a lot effort to scare you, some holes looks pretty tight, but in fact, the landing area is a lot wider than you think. And in general, the design is interesting and very enjoyable. It features an international standard golf course.
In CITIC Changping Golf Club, all tee boxes , fairways and greens are in great shape, no complaint at all. The fairways are very undulating and challenging and has international standards. Green are smooth and reasonably fast. A both challenging and cheering venue suits for golf heater.
