During the National Day holidays, all hotels in HGH goes way up beyond RMB200. You will be lucky to find one that is around RMB300.

Will be going Hangzhou for the very first time in mid-Oct.

Where can I get a copy of the train time table (from Shanghai) and the different price list, thanks.

If I am not mistaken, you can get the schedule from within the train station itself. If not able to find one, they are also sold on the train itself by the stewardess. If all else fails, visit the business/travel centre in your hotel for a copy. They def have one.

From SHA City Train station RMB55 from Shanghai South Station RMB50
Take the Subway to the Jin Jiang Le Yuan station for Shanghai South Station at max RMB 5.

I will be spending 2 nites in Hangzhou after watching the F1 race in Shanghai, from 17-19 Oct.

Get into HGH station not to East station. East is way out. HGH station is within city itself.

The price in Hangzhou is rather high.
Just look at the cars on the streets. On average how many Mercedes S600 you see per day?
So if you play there, remember never act rich (even if you really are).

I will be visiting SH in Dec and thinking of spending at least a nite in HZ if possible.
